Insomniac Games Paid VFX Art Internship

The Insomniac Games is inviting students to be a part of their game production as VFX interns. This internship will be a paid program and last for at least eight weeks in Durham, NC.

The VFX art intern will work with the VFX department and learn some unique game industry techniques as well as learn workflows. The internship includes quite exciting works, such as creating materials and cinematic with visual effects.

As a part of this program, interns will get an opportunity to be mentored by senior members of the team. Interns will also enjoy working in a fast-paced and creative environment and lots of career development opportunities.

Insomniac Games is an American video game development company founded on 28 February 1994 by Ted Price and is located in Burbank, California. This company is recognized for developing several PlayStation mascots, Spyro the Dragon, Ratchet, Clank, Sunset Overdrive, and Spider-Man. Sony Interactive Entertainment acquired it in 2021 to make it a part of SIE Worldwide Studios.

Interns must be ready to join this internship for eight weeks.

Eligibility Requirements:

Candidates, please go through the eligibility criteria before applying:

  • Candidates must be a full-time student enrolled at a college or university, working toward a B.F.A. in Computer Art, Illustration, Game Design, Product Design, or equivalent.
  • Must have a strong fundamental and production design skills.
  • Must have proficiency in Maya, Photoshop and real-time toolset such as unreal or unity.
  • Must have a passion for video games and art.
  • Must be available for 5 days per week/ approximately 40 hours a week is required.
