Explore a career in professional theatre in a short period of time through this Opera Saratoga’s unique internship. This program is a paid education experience that will span from May 27 through July 8.
This internship holds the goal of providing students with hands-on educational opportunities along with practical experience in both the shop environment and backstage. It will enable all interns to get experience in areas like stage management; wardrobe; scenery; electrics; props; and wigs/make-up.
Interns will also provide the chance to work alongside and network with theatre professionals, participate in the resume and portfolio reviews. All experience and skills that interns will obtain here will help them enhance their knowledge of opera production and technical theater.
Opera Saratoga is a professional opera company in Saratoga Springs, New York. It was founded in 1962 by Fred Patrick, who was a New York-based singer/actor and Juilliard graduate. It was formerly known as Lake George Opera that was changed with Saratoga Springs. The company performs for over 25,000 people annually.
Interns will work in Saratoga Springs, New York.
This internship will commence on May 27th and end on July 8th.
