Greenville Zoo‡s education department is currently looking to hire bright-minded and curious interns for summer and fall seasons. The program will be an unpaid internship that will span 2 to 3 months in Greenville, SC.

The main motive of this event is to provide students with the experience of working in a zoological environment. The program seeks to train students for their full-time career by allowing them to develop and apply the skills, theories, and concepts that they have gained in the classroom.

Apart from this, interns will also get here animal handling and safety training. To be a part of this opportunity, applicants must have completed at least 2 years of a college degree program in education, biology, zoology or a related field.

Established in 1960, Greenville Zoo is a popular zoo in Greenville, SC. This zoo has a mission of providing the best guest experience as well as supporting and promoting wildlife conservation efforts to enhance the quality of life for all living things. The zoo has a wonderful collection of animals of different species.

Internship Location:

The program will take place in Greenville, SC.

Internship Duration:

This internship usually lasts 3 months however the summer position runs only 10 weeks.

Eligibility Requirements:

All candidates are required to meet the following eligibility criteria:

  • Must have completed at least 2 years of a college degree program in education, biology, zoology or a related field.
  • Must have excellent communication skills and likes to work with all ages especially children, and animals as well.
  • Must be self-motivated, prompt, energetic, creative, and have the ability to work in a team environment.
