CHOA Internship

CHOA is hiring applicants for the internship program. The organization is accredited by the Association of Child Life Professionals (ALCP). The company offers the internship program three times a year to qualified candidates. The selected applicant will rotate through two different fields at two of the company‡s hospital campuses during the experience. Both outpatient and inpatient opportunities will be offered each semester to the student. The internship program is 40 hours each week and the applicant is required to commit 15 weeks. The selected candidate must complete the association of child life professionals‡ course review through the eligibility assessment and must have the documented verification of a minimum of 10 approved courses. Children‡s Healthcare of Atlanta or CHOA commonly referred to as Children‡s, is a not-for-profit healthcare system of children that is located in the Atlanta area and dedicated to caring for infants, young adults, children, and teens throughout Georgia. CHOA is formed in 1998 when Egleston Children‡s Health Care System and Scottish Rite Medical Center came together in becoming one of the largest pediatric systems in the United States. The organization in 2006 was assumed responsibility for the management of services at Hughes Spalding Children‡s Hospital growing the system of three hospitals.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with the basic needs of children.
