Indianapolis Zoo Animal Care/Nutrition Internship

Indianapolis Zoo is now offering a mind-blowing animal care/nutrition internship program to provide students with experience in the field of animal welfare. The program requires the work commitment of 20-40 hours per week for 12 consecutive weeks.

Animal Care/Nutrition Intern role will be asked to assist the veterinary hospital keepers in providing care for the hospital patients and quarantine animals. He/she will also be responsible to assist the commissary staff in daily diet preparation, delivery and inventory management.

Holding this internship will provide you insight into not profit management, develop your skills of working with animals and also as a nutritionist, and give you edge in the job market that will be helpful for you to secure a paying job after graduation.

Indianapolis Zoo is a famous zoo in Indianapolis, Indiana. It has over 3,800 animals of more than 320 species and subspecies. This zoo opened its gates to the public on April 18, 1964, and is a private not for profit organization.

This internship will take place in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Internship Duration:

All the ideal candidates must be able to work 20-40 hours per week for 12 consecutive weeks.

Eligibility Requirements:

This role is reserved for college students enrolled in a four-year degree program and at least entering the sophomore level.
