Library of Congress Paid Conservation Internship (Domestic + International Students)

Library of Congress Conservation Internship is your opportunity to work for hands-on with the famous research library and unleash your skills and gain experience while doing something meaningful that affects society and the lives of others.

This Conservation Internship is particularly based on the book, paper, or photograph conservation and will last 9 to 11 months in Washington, D.C.

During this program, interns will work closely with the mentor and fellow interns on collaborative projects. For this role, all successful interns will be provided a $5,000 stipend.

Eligibility Requirements:

The Conservation Internship is available to any conservation graduate student or emerging conservator with similar experience in the book, paper, or photograph conservation. International conservation students must have English fluency, evidence of sufficient financial support for living in the Washington, D.C. area for the internship term, health insurance coverage valid in the U.S., and be eligible for a U.S. J-1 visa.
