This summer, turn your passion for taking photos and shooting videos into a profession! Franklin Institute is now offering an extremely exciting discovery camp photography internship for promising students.
Discovery Camp is a summer day camp where you as a photography intern will spend your time taking photos, observing activities, and talking to campers. Your responsibilities areas will also include editing, organizing, and uploading photos to online galleries.
The most important thing is that working here will sharpen your photography skills and provide you some professional experience for which you don‡t need to graduate. With this internship, you will have a deep understanding of photography that will help you obtain a paying job in the future.
Franklin Institute is a science museum based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It is the major center for science education and research. It was founded in 1824 and is the oldest center for science education and development in the United States. It is named after Benjamin Franklin who was an American scientist and statesman.

The program will be unpaid although interns can gain strong knowledge in photography, improve themselves through mentorship and guidance, sharpen their skills through workshops, and make some long-lasting relationships.
Eligibility Requirements:
Students who wish to join our programs must have the following:
- Working towards a degree of any kind, but with experience taking photos and video.
- Familiarity with informal science learning preferred.
- Must have good photography skills and have keen attention to detail.
- Must be able to work independently and complete tasks within deadlines.
- Applicants should be comfortable working with children.
- Must be available at least 3 days per week M-F during the summer.
