Dallas Zoo Internship

Getting the program is not the only thing that is supposed to be done by the hired student. The person is assigned tasks that include taking care of the animals, and feeding them on time. The student is required to attend the professional development sessions that are designed especially for the Dallas Zoo interns. The organization’s volunteer service department will work alongside students to document internship experience that is needed to gain college or university credit. The person must possess outstanding communication skills. The person is required to complete the tasks with minimum or little guidance. Dallas Zoo is a zoo that is located 3 miles south of downtown Dallas, Texas, in Marsalis Park. The organization was established in 1888, and it is the largest and oldest zoological park in Texas and is managed by the non-profit Dallas Zoological Society. It is home to more than 2,000 animals that represents 406 species. It is an accredited member of the World Association of Zoo and Aquarium and member of the Association of Zoos and Aquariums. In 2015, the zoo achieved an all-time annual attendance of more than 1 million visitors. The Dallas Zoological Society is supported by members and helps the company to grow.

Responsibilities
