County of Santa Clara Student Internship (Level I)

County of Santa Clara is inviting dedicated, highly motivated and talented students to join its Student Internship, Level I. The Student Internship aims to nurture the educational and professional development of promising job candidates.

In this position, all interns will work as an assistant and be responsible for learning the Agency’s or Department’s policies, procedures and methods of operation; collecting and tabulating data; and learning how to interpret such.

For this program, candidates must be high school students enrolled as high school students and have an overall grade point average of at least 2.5 on a four-point scale.

Internship Location:

Throughout the County of Santa Clara, CA

Internship Duration:

This is a one-year-long position during which interns will work full time throughout the summer and/or part-time throughout the school year.

Internship Benefits:

Interns will receive up to $21,340.80 – $25,948.00 annually.

Eligibility Requirements:

In order to qualify for this role, you must:

  • Have a legal right to work in the United States. Certain individuals under eighteen may require work permits.
  • Be enrolled in an accredited institution or a school licensed by a state agency and have attended that institution for at least one semester.
  • Have an overall institutional grade point average of at least 2.5 on a four-point scale.
  • Submit a completed application for employment.
  • Some departments require the candidate to pass a physical exam.
