Candlewick Press is now encouraging qualified candidates to apply for its publishing technologies internship program for summer/fall. The program requires a time commitment of fourteen hours per week for up to twelve weeks.
The program aims to provide interns the opportunity to acquire hands-on experience with several areas related to the company’s digital publishing and marketing programs. From video editing to production, the hired will perform various tasks.
This internship will not only provide you the essential tools like experience, skills, knowledge but also help you in securing a good position in the publishing industry. For this position, you will need to be proficient on Mac OS and have the basics knowledge of design, video and audio editing, using the Adobe creative suite.
Candlewick Press is a publishing company founded in 1991 by Rick Richter and Sebastian Walker. It is owned by Walker Books and headquartered in Somerville, Massachusetts, United States. So far, it has published more than 3,000 remarkable children’s books.
Interns will join the headquarters in Somerville, Massachusetts.
The ideal candidate must be able to provide a commitment of fourteen hours per week for up to twelve weeks.
This is a paid internship initiative through which you can get an invaluable opportunity to develop professional skills, learn the ins and outs of the publishing world, and make important contacts within the industry.
The ideal candidate must be proficient on Mac OS and should understand the basics of design, video and audio editing, using the Adobe Creative Suite. Any e-book and basic HTML experience would be a bonus.
