Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a need for hard-working, passionate interns in both Washington D.C. and Jackson Heights offices. The program is available for summer with both full-time and part-time schedules.
Behind offering this internship, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a motive to provide each intern with a meaningful experience to enhance their understanding of Congress. Along with practical experience and career development opportunities, interns will be paid a rate of $15/hour.
The hired will be required to perform several duties such as researching legislation attending briefings and hearings assisting staff with public events, answering phones, sorting mail and other administrative work as assigned.
Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez is also known as AOC who is an American Politician and activist. She is a member of the Democratic Party and serves as the U.S. representative for New York’s 14th congressional district. She is among the first female members of the Democratic Socialists of America elected to serve in Congress.
