The University of Houston is very excited to announce the availability of its Dietetic Internship Program. UH, Dietetic Internship is a 27-week full-time, comprehensive program with an emphasis in medical nutrition therapy.
Its concentration areas are nutrition assessment and hospital dietetics; food service management; dietary counseling in inpatient, outpatient, and public health environments; individual and group nutrition education; nutrition research and numerous.
This Dietetic Internship will give you the knowledge, practical skill and professional values you need to meet the standards of education. This is a pre-selection program for which, five students (per selection cycle) who have met the admission requirements for the DI, will be selected.
Eligibility Requirements:
To be effective in this role, you will need to meet all the eligibility criteria
- UH, bachelor of science degree in human nutrition and foods (ACEND accredited track) or completion of UH post-baccalaureate program for students holding a bachelor’s degree from another institution and completing the required DPD coursework at UH.
- Earning a verification statement from UH.

Complete the application form and submit it by the stated deadline. The application also requires submission of a resume, personal statement, three letters of recommendation, a handwritten essay, and original transcripts.
Pre-selection applicants should submit a paper application. They cannot use the online DICAS application.
