Senator Tammy Duckworth is all set to hire some well-qualified and passionate interns for its offices based in Belleville, Carbondale, Chicago, Rock Island, Springfield and Washington, D.C. The program will start in these locations in the fall season.

Behind the internship, the motive of Tammy is to enhance students‡ participation in public service for the people of Illinois. By working with her as an intern, you can gain a deep knowledge of the government sector and how the senate works.

Moreover, this position will have some responsibilities such as attending committee hearings, tracking legislation, drafting press releases and attending meetings with constituents and interest groups.

Tammy Duckworth is an American politician as well as was a U.S. Army lieutenant colonel. She served as the junior United States Senator for Illinois since 2017. She was born on 12 March 1968. From 2013 to 2017, she represented Illinois‡ 8th district in the United States House of Representatives.

Internship Location:

The internship will occur in different places of the United States: Belleville, Carbondale, Chicago, Rock Island, Springfield and Washington, D.C.

Internship Duration:

It will run for 5 months, from August 24 through December 18, 2021.
