Ramapo College of New Jersey Pre-Doctoral Psychology Internship

With the aim of strengthening students’ understanding of the health care industry, Ramapo College is launching an exciting pre-doctoral psychology internship. This is a full-time, paid intern course based in NJ.

The program will start in the center for health and counseling services where interns will perform several duties including providing counseling, crisis intervention, psycho-educational programming, and consultation to the college community.

The approximate time frame for this position is one full year. The working hours will be flexible depending on the needs of the department. Overall, it is an excellent opportunity to gain knowledge of psychology by working in this field and improve abilities.

Eligibility Requirements:

To successfully fill this position, you need to fulfill all the requirements:

  • Enrolled in a doctoral program in clinical, counseling or school psychology
  • Must have completed all required coursework and comprehensive examination
  • Group therapy experience
  • Experience providing time-limited counseling
  • Crisis intervention experience.
  • Demonstrated strong clinical skills in individual counseling essential
  • Demonstrated strong clinical skills in crisis intervention
  • Experience in mental health prevention and outreach
  • Experience with a culturally diverse population
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to provide consultation and referral services.
