Sound like you? Then you’re someone we want to work with. As a research intern on the Cross-Cloud Research and Insights team, your work can span across all of our product areas. You will learn about and advocate for users across industries and lines of business, technical users who are helping their companies transform, and consumers. You may also contribute to the creation of internal tooling to scale our research impact. Your insights will help product teams build the right tools for the right people.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage a broad range of methods to generate insights that drive design, development, and business decisions
  • Collaborate closely with Design, Product Management, and Engineering to generate impactful insights
  • Design surveys and experiments, perform statistical analyses, and visualize information. Process, clean, and analyze data
  • Translate user needs and business requirements into tactical plans. Lead and successfully implement plans through strong collaboration and leadership
  • Assess internal tooling needs for our product teams and identify opportunities to scale the impact of our research insights
  • Effectively deliver research findings and recommendations

Requirements

  • In Progress towards a PhD or Master’s degree in the area of Computer Science, Information Science,
  • Psychology, Sociology, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, or Human Computer Interaction (HCI)
  • Solid understanding of quantitative research methods, statistical analysis, data visualization, and relevant data tools like Excel, R, SQL, and Python
  • Experience working with large datasets to generate insights about user behavior and attitudes
  • Familiarity with qualitative user research methods (e.g., usability testing, interviews, heuristic evaluations, contextual inquiry, task analysis) and experimental design
  • Strong project management skills
  • Effective interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills

Preferred

  • Experience with relational databases and database management
  • Knowledge of an object-oriented programming language (Java, Python, Ruby, etc.)
