Have you ever considered working in one of the fastest growing engineering disciplines?  The Cyber Security Engineering team is in need of a Cyber Security Engineer Intern for Summer 2024.  This shared services team supports the development of products throughout the company wherever the customer has a security requirement, or it‡s understood that the system will be exposed to cyber threats through its connectivity to or operational use over public networks.  Members of the security engineering team help develop cyber-resilient systems by supporting the design and implementation teams to ensure a secure system development lifecycle (SSDLC).  We also develop tools and testing techniques as part of integration and verification to help identify residual defects in design or implementation which could result in a vulnerability negatively impacting the confidentiality, availability, or integrity of the system.

May be eligible for relocation.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Assisting with developing and executing fuzzing and penetration tests to evaluate the robustness of the attack surface
  • Assisting with developing threat models and data flow diagrams to ensure data is properly isolated in transit and at rest
  • Assisting with implementing mandatory access controls (MAC) through the development of SELinux policies
  • Participates in code reviews to identify weaknesses in the implementation of security functions
  • Assisting with conducting vulnerability assessments of proposed and in-service systems

Basic Qualifications

  • Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. citizen, permanent resident, refugee or asylee) or eligible to obtain necessary export authorizations required.

Hybrid: Employees who are working in Hybrid roles will work regularly both onsite and offsite.  Ratio of time working onsite will be determined in partnership with your leader.

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).  An employee may be expected to travel to the site location as needed.
