Where You‡ll Work

Come join our team as a Lab Management Intern next summer! As an intern, you will work as part of the Lab Management policy team. This is a project-oriented internship which will give you the opportunity to assist in evidence-based medical policy development. Using established research methods, you will help analyze the published evidence for various molecular laboratory tests and help develop health technology assessments that will ultimately form the foundation of medical necessity policies.

During the 10-week summer internship, you will have opportunities to collaborate within your department and across the business while also learning from some of our brightest and most innovative employees in your area of focus. Schedule requirements: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks summer 2024.

What You‡ll Do

  • Perform critical tasks to support the lab management team and learn about our business
  • Work on key projects in areas such health technology assessments and policy development.
  • Collaborate with other team members and stakeholders to successfully complete project work
  • Be exposed to various aspects of utilization management
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects that may arise as business needs change

Qualifications

  • Must be currently enrolled in a Bachelors or advanced degree program with a 3.0 GPA or higher
  • Strong background in molecular biology and/or genetics
  • Strong ability to research available peer reviewed literature
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Strong ability to multitask and work independently

Schedule: You must be available to work a 40-hour work week for 10-12 weeks summer 2023, beginning May 2024. ​

This role can work from home from any US location.

If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.
