You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you’ll learn more about Centene and how we’re transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.

As the Financial Planning & Analysis Intern, you will:

• Engage in one-week rotations, “team weeks”, with members from each functional area of our department including corporate G&A, management reporting, capital and real estate planning, new business and merger/acquisition planning, population health and specialty companies. This rotation program provides an opportunity to learn the core responsibilities of each area and complete weekly projects for each group.
• Complete a Signature Project, an assigned a core project based on the needs of the department and work closely with the Project Lead to complete this project over the course of the 12-week program. The final project is presented to the entire FP&A team.
• Enroll in an online course that provides an overview of FP&A careers pathways, general FP&A concepts, and tutorials on building forecasting models and dashboards.  Interns are eligible to receive a certification in financial planning and analysis modeling after completing all courses and passing the course exams.
• Participate in the Exploring Finance Series, a series of informative workshops to learn about areas of Finance across the organization. This will give you an opportunity to network with leaders across the broader Finance organization and understand the contributions of those in other areas of finance and accounting specialties.

Position Purpose:

The Financial Planning and Analysis (FP&A) interns will have the opportunity to explore the variety of roles that comprise Centene‡s Corporate Financial Planning function while contributing meaningful and valuable work to a Fortune 25 organization. The department’s core function is ownership of the organization‡s annual budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-range planning processes. This internship involves the participation of theentire team which provides interns access to a broad range of knowledge and interaction with financial leaders across the organization.

Experience/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to finance or accounting.
