Business Development Intern for Agriculture and Economic Growth

Tetra Tech International Development is currently accepting expressions of interest from qualified candidates for a Business Development Intern to join our Agriculture and Economic Growth team.

Position Description: The BD Intern will support the efforts of the Feed the Future group, including researching country priorities, competitive landscape analysis, and key staff on current USAID projects. This internship can help start a successful career in development, building skillsets, expanding networks, and providing real-world experience in this challenging but rewarding work. The position can be fully remote from a continental US-based location or hybrid/remote within a commutable distance to either one of our office locations in Burlington, VT, or Arlington, VA.

This internship is paid, and hours are flexible, up to 40 per week for up to six months.

Responsibilities:
* Support capture plan research teams and update new business tracking tools;
* Develop communications tools, success stories, short videos and project tweets;
* Provide AEG marketing and communications support, including updating the sector page on the Tetra

Tech website;
* Review project reports to identify lessons learned, best practices and improve knowledge management; and
* Assist the Sector Director or sector staff with tasks as needed.

Qualifications:
* Relevant bachelor‡s degree in progress or completed in agriculture, economic development, business management, or related field required; master‡s degree in progress preferred;
* At least 1 year of work experience desired, including some work or volunteerism related to international development;
* Demonstrated understanding of, academic excellence in, and desire to pursue a career in agriculture, economics, project management, or international relations strongly preferred;
* Knowledge of international donor development projects, especially USAID-funded projects, highly desired;
* Speaking and reading proficiency in at least one foreign language highly desired (especially Spanish and/or French);
* Experience in MS Office Suite, with an understanding of SharePoint desirable; and

* Must have current U.S. work authorization and ability to work without employer sponsorship at time of application.
