Arthrex is a global medical device company and leader in orthopedics medical education. With a corporate mission of Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better™, Arthrex has pioneered the field of arthroscopy and develops more than 1,000 innovative products and procedures each year that support all aspects of orthopedics. The Strategic Development team in Naples, FL is responsible for supporting product development with strategic planning, data analytics and corporate development activities. The successful candidate will perform various projects related to these topics with guidance from the Strategic Development Team. The individual will also work within the requirements of their tasks to deliver results and communicate issues in a timely and accurate manner.

This internship will run from May 2024 – August 2024. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work 40 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.

Main Objective:  

To better understand the theories, ideas, and practices of Strategic Planning, Data Analytics and Corporate Development by actively engaging in a “hands-on,” work-based, learning experience.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 

Conduct research and analysis of select market trends.
Research specific companies and/or products.
Contribute to Strategic Development tools, resources, and communications that are central to collaboration with internal stakeholders.
Assist with other projects as needed.
This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.
Education and Experience: 

Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Business, Economics, Healthcare, Engineering or Entrepreneurship. A senior preferred. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
Experience with data modeling and analytics highly preferred.
Familiarity with strategic planning methodologies, financial Analysis and data engineering preferred.
Orthopedic clinical knowledge a plus.
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training: 

Basic to intermediate computer skills. Be able to follow written and verbal direction.

Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills: 

PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel.
Power BI preferred.
