You could be the one who changes everything for our 28 million members as an Intern at Centene. During this 12-week program, you’ll learn more about Centene and how we’re transforming the health of the community, one person at a time.
The Actuarial Intern will support the Medicaid Actuarial team. The internship will allow the selected students to learn actuarial concepts including forecasting, assumption building, reserving and modeling. Interns who are working towards an actuarial designation will gain hands-on actuarial experience on assumption-setting and modeling.
As an Actuarial Services Intern, you will:
– Learn about healthcare actuarial work
– Develop technical skills in Excel, VBA, and SQL
– Support Medicaid capitation rate negotiations and various analytics projects
Position Purpose:
Learn about various processes and functions within the Managed Care industry and develop professionally by contributing to projects that support the business.
Experience/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to Actuarial Science, Mathematics, or Statistics.
