Are you a student at Georgetown University? 
ENGIE is hiring a Capital Projects Intern responsible for assisting ENGIE’s Project Controls Manager prepare, compile, and administer service contracts and purchase agreements in compliance with applicable laws and regulations. The ideal candidate has an interest in obtaining experience with a large international company in a trailblazing project to reduce Georgetown University’s energy consumption through renewable energy and decentralized energy platforms.
The internship work term will be from May 2023 – on or around May, 2024, 10 hours per week minimum. Additional hours/weeks may be available based on business needs and will be discussed in advance with your supervisor.
What you’ll do: 

The successful candidate will assist the local Project Controls Analyst in the financial planning and reporting as well as completing the monthly accounting close in compliance with GAAP
Assist in reviewing procurement processes in compliance with the University’s and ENGIE’s procedures as well as applicable laws and regulations
Assignments may include compiling financial data, timekeeping records, development of local procurement processes, building Capital Projects contract reports and other projects as assigned
Work cohesively and closely with internal and external stakeholders on projects directly related to the university
What you bring: 

Must be a student at Georgetown University
Pursuing BBA with a major in Contract Management and Procurement, Business or equivalent
Prefer GPA of 3.0 or higher
Prefer a Sophomore or Junior
Minimum of 1 year completed course work within business, finance, or related program Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
Additional Information/Conditions: 

Ability to meet highest attendance requirements
Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbally
Ability to handle multiple assignments on a timely basis with a high degree of accuracy
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong organizational, prioritization and time management skills
Negotiating skills and general business acumen (including technical, legal, commodity risk, quantitative and economic analysis skills)
Demonstrated ability to take initiative
Excellent oral, written, and communication skills
The work environment for this position is mostly in an office setting with business casual attire required. Some site visits to active construction projects will require the use of personal protective equipment, which will be provided.

Salary Range: $20.00-$30.00 USD, hourly
Actual salary offered may vary depending on geography, experience, education, internal pay alignment, or other bona fide factors
