United States Golf Association (USGA) is now offering an excellent Women‡s Open Championship Administration Internship to golf lovers. The program will be paid and last from April 27, 2021, through June 12, 2021, in Houston, Texas.

U.S. Women‡s Open Championship Administration Internship is an opportunity for those who are looking to gain valuable experience in sport or event management and to conserve the true spirit of the game of golf.

This position will typically work in an office as well as the exterior environment and assist the championship manager and championship coordinator with duties relating to the volunteer program, player services, community relations, and the host club.

United States Golf Association is also known as USGA which is an association of golf courses, clubs and facilities and the governing body of golf for the U.S. and Mexico. It was founded on 22 December 1894 in Far Hills, New Jersey. It conducts golf‡s premier professional and amateur championships.

Internship Location:

This internship will be based in Houston, Texas.

Internship Duration:

The event will start on April 27, 2021, and conclude on June 12, 2021. The intern will able to work at lead 40 hours a week.

Eligibility Requirements:

To be a part of this opportunity, you will need to fulfill the following requirements:

  • Must be currently enrolled in a degree program at the time of application or a recent graduate
  • Authorized to work for any U.S. based employer upon graduation
  • Ability to work long and strenuous hours (40 – 60+ hour work weeks)
  • Effective communication with a wide variety of individuals involved with a national championship
  • Resourceful, presentable, courteous, friendly and organized
  • Good follow-up skills and ability to handle issues quickly and calmly
  • Ability to work independently and support the team
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software –knowledge of Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher
  • Ability to prepare presentations including PowerPoint and printed material
  • Demonstrated ability to follow and execute detailed plans
  • Ability to anticipate and analyze problems and provide logical solutions
  • Ability to work well under pressure
