POSITION SUMMARY
We are looking for a Financial Data Analytics Intern for our Summer 2024 internship program! The Financial Data Analytics Intern leverages data and analytics to drive business insights and process optimization. The data analyst will work closely with the business units and technology team to interpret complex data sets utilizing statistical techniques and modeling of current and future states. This intern ensures alignment to data governance including data integrity, cleanliness, accuracy, and availability.
This internship will take place at our corporate office in Appleton, Wisconsin May/June – August 2024.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide ongoing reports
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct problems
Use tools like Power BI to visualize data to create insightful reporting
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
QUALIFICATIONS
Currently enrolled as a rising Junior or Senior in a competitively selective 4-year bachelor degree program, in a quantitatively focused discipline such as: finance, accounting, mathematics, economics, statistics, or related field
Experience with reporting packages (Tableau, Microsoft Power BI), databases, and programming (SQL, R, Python, SAS, SPSS)
Knowledge of statistics and experience using statistical packages for analyzing datasets
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to write queries, generate reports, and present findings
Strong communication and facilitation skills
Good planning and organizing skills
