Who you are:
As a member of the Marketing & Communications team, your primary responsibility will be to perform a variety of writing, editing, and quality assurance functions that support Trellis Company and our family of brands (AIE.org; Trellis Foundation; Waypoint Resource Group).
Writing and editing assignments may vary based on skill, interest, and capacity, but you can expect to deliver content for multiple audience groups (B2B, B2C, and internal) using a variety of communication channels, including websites, blogs, digital marketing, video/multimedia, print, and social media. You will work directly with members of the Marketing & Communications team, as well as with internal business partners.
In your role as an intern at Trellis, you will have the opportunity to shape messaging and develop stories that inform our employees and engage our customers.
This internship runs through the 2019 spring semester and may be extended if it’s a fit for both parties. Weekly hours may vary, but we anticipate you will work up to 20 hours a week.

The position is located in the Corporate Office in Round Rock, Texas.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Develop and produce content that motivates target audiences, ensuring the integrity and effectiveness of corporate messaging.
Collaborate with marketing, public relations (PR), design, web, and research in producing web copy, articles, social media, presentations, blog posts, and more.
Ensure a memorable, high-impact, and consistent brand identity.
Originate and write content for a variety of audiences related to corporate marketing and communication efforts.
Conducts research to write original content; edits and proofs content created by others.
Non-Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform a variety of writing styles, based on audience, message, business line, content placement/purpose, and/or communication vehicle
Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
Required:
High School diploma or GED equivalent
Preferred:
Successful completion of college level coursework in marketing, advertising, and/or public relations
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Excellent writing, editing, and proofing skills
Creative, responsible, strong initiative
Ability to vary writing style based on message, audience, content, and purpose
Coachable; solid listening skills
Strong sense of urgency blended with high quality standards
Enjoy working as part of a team and collaborating with others
Demonstrated competency with Microsoft Office products

Work Environment:

Work is in an office, with a surrounding small cubicle work environment.
Work environment is climate controlled with no substantial exposure to adverse environmental conditions.
