Introduction
Watsonx Platform Engineering products is a set of building blocks designed to help application developers more easily infuse powerful AI into their applications.
It includes the best of AI open source and IBM Research technology and includes technology from AI infrastructure to algorithmic libraries (NLP, speech, time series, etc.), to Trustworthy AI.
Your Role and Responsibilities
This is for a 2024 summer internship with the following start dates: May – August or June – September for quarter system schools.
As an intern, you will participate in a variety of activities to improve and extend the stack. The activities will vary based on the needs of the project based at the time of the internship but will include some of the following:
– Brainstorming on enhancements to the user experience
– Integrating new AI models from IBM Research and/or open source into the stack
– Rebasing parts of the stack on strategic open source
– Making contributions to strategic open source
– Contributing to test and deployment automation
– Improving the team operational development process and automation
Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- B.S. or pursuing B.S.
- Experience with popular AI open-source technologies.
- Some knowledge of scripting and programming languages such as Python, Go, Typescript.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
Preferred Technical and Professional Expertise
- Kubernetes, Container (Docker)
- Git, Github, Zenhub
- Agile methodology
