Sales/Analytics Intern will be provided comprehensive training, based in Moody, AL (near Birmingham) and travel to merchandise in grocery stores around Central Alabama.

• Flexible hours between 7:30 am and 5:00 pm • 40 hours per week during fall and opportunity to continue working part time in the future • Opportunity to grow into a full-time position upon graduation

This role will be a combination of business analytics and in the field sales.

Analyze sales data for key insights and new opportunities at retail. You will compile data into reports and presentations and monitor reports for existing business opportunities and historical performance. This includes providing support for sales and execution strategies, preparing planograms, developing sales plans, and communicating key information to internal and external customers.

When selling in the field, gain more visual inventory on the selling floor of grocery retail establishments. This would take the form of additional facings on the shelf, new points of distribution, such as endcaps, side stackers, or spot displays, or the successful sell-in to store management of coffee and or tea shippers. Secondarily, the Sales Intern will make sure that all authorized products are in stock and on the shelf. Checks product rotation and product condition. Follow up on customer requests and complaints. The Retail Sales Representative develops and maintains good working relationships with key retail store personnel. Updates company management on new items in the market from competitors, special sales, displays, special coupons, special events that competitors sponsor or new opportunities open to the Company.

Recent graduate or enrolled as a Junior or Senior in an accredited Bachelors degree program in the 2019-2020 school year.
Interest in working in sales and/or sales analytics upon graduation
Availability to begin working approximately June 1, 2019 and ability to work an average of 40 hours per week during the summer and average 15-20 hours per week when classes begin (if available).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including basic Outlook & PowerPoint skills
Strong analytical skills with a keen attention to detail
Solid computer skills
Ability to work well with a diverse group of people
Ability to be flexible, work independently and show a sense of urgency
Driver’s license with clean MVR and reliable transportation
