Job Description



Responsible for supporting R&D Laboratory Management by coordinating equipment calibration and preventive maintenance, assist with training staff in safety procedures and sterile technique. Support R&D as needed by conducting experiments related to product, process and/or package development, testing prototypes and testing equipment used for allograft processing and packaging. Maintain safe lab environment by following universal precautions and R&D lab SOP.

Assist technicians with general laboratory duties such as preparing supplies for sterile processing, environmental testing, and maintaining safe laboratory conditions.
Assist Laboratory Supervisor with maintenance, repair and calibrations of lab equipment and supplies.
Participates in planning and performing experiments and analyzing results for Research and Development projects.
Generate simple statistical summaries and reports of collected data.
Assist in the design and testing of manufacturing equipment and processes.
Document experimental data in Laboratory Notebook for all experiments and research activities


Education: (YEAR IN SCHOOL)
Completion of one year college credit toward engineering or science degree


Experience with laboratory practices through course work or internship

Specialized Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities*:
Ability to read and interpret protocols and procedures, basic mechanical and 3-D drawings. Basic computer skills (Excel, Word). Good organizational ability, good communication skills, and ability to work independently as well as with others

Previous internship experience in a laboratory or manufacturing environment is preferred
