Microsoft Research New York seeks outstanding Machine Learning intern applicants for Fall 2019. Specific areas of interest include Interactive Learning, Reinforcement Learning, and Statistical Learning Theory.

The primary intern mentor will be Akshay Krishnamurthy, with potential to collaborate with all members of the MSR NYC Machine Learning group and other groups across MSR NYC and Microsoft Research broadly.

Must be currently enrolled in a PhD program in Computer Science or a related STEM field.
Demonstrated ability to develop original research agendas.
Must be able to collaborate effectively with other researchers and product development teams.
Excellent interpersonal skills, cross-group, and cross-culture collaboration.
Ability to think unconventionally to derive creative and innovative solutions
