Best known for Little Debbie® snack cakes, America’s leading snack cake brand, Sunbelt Bakery® granola products, and Drake’s Cakes®, McKee Foods Corporation is seeking a student Intern who will work in the Corporate Health and Wellness. This position will primarily develop and execute personal training plans for the participant of McKeeFIT Lifestyle, a wellness coaching program for employees. The ideal candidate has the potential to work and learn with us throughout his/her college career. This is an exciting opportunity to promote fitness and wellness in a corporate setting and provide a comprehensive overview of the several mechanisms involved in managing a corporate wellness department. Current employees who have worked for McKee Foods for at least six months and have a good performance record may apply and be considered for an internship. Flexible hours (days and hours may vary and student’s school schedule will be considered)
Expected to work around 20 hours per week during school year and up to 40 during summer.
Create personalized exercise plan for the McKee FIT Lifestyle program participants
Assist in office administration as needed
Promote marketing and communications plans for Corporate Health and Wellness Department
Assist in the development and delivery of wellness “lunch and learns”
Support the Corporate Fitness Coordinator and additional McKee FIT programs as needed
Undergraduate student working towards a degree in the health and fitness field from an accredited college or university
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build trust with participants
Knowledge of exercise prescription, fitness instruction and safety guidelines
Reliable mode of transportation
Punctuality and dependability
Organization and time management skills
CPR/AED/First Aid certification
Personal training certification
Any form of fitness instructing experience
