Business Coordinator – Intern [Masters] (JetBlue Travel Products)
Position Summary:

The Business Coordinator Intern, JetBlue Travel Products (JTP) is an internship opportunity for those continuing their education after some years of work experience.

The role will focus on driving a project in one business discipline: finance, technology development, operations, partnerships, marketing, or customer experience. Regardless of the area of focus, the project will require strong analysis focused on answering a question about the best path for the business, and then executing the change with cross functional partners.

This key team member will use strong organizational skills and organizational knowledge to ensure key tasks are completed by cross functional team members to ensure successful change is implemented.

Essential Responsibilities:

Lead analysis – both qualitative and quantitative – to answer a key business question.

Provide weekly updates on efforts both to manager and key cross functional partners.

Suggest several solutions/changes to process, features, product offerings, etc. based on analysis.

Lead the effort to make the change across the business.

Assist with building scalable processes using a combination of documentation (SOPs), delegation, and automation.

Be a ‘disciple’ of JTP at industry conferences, events, and gatherings.

Provides necessary support to peer groups across the JTP organization.

Other complex projects and duties as assigned.

Minimum Experience and Qualifications:

Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a Master’s program with focus in in Economics, Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations, Analytics, Science, Math, Marketing, Management, or a related field.

One (1) year of work experience in business development, partnership management, business analysis, or project management or One (1) year of relevant completed coursework.

Proficient with the Microsoft Office Suite & Google Products.

Experience with business analysis using Excel, Spreadsheets, etc.

Experience with basics of project management (Gantt, task tracking)

Flexible and able to work at any time, including nights, weekends and holidays.

Available for up to 30% overnight travel between support centers in NYC, Salt Lake City and Orlando as well as partner meetings.

Self-motivated and flexible to a constantly changing environment.

Ability to communicate ideas and recommendations to peers and department heads.

Effective research skills, including the ability to analyze information and make determinations in accordance with company guidelines.

Able to pass a ten (10) year background check and pre-employment drug test.

Legally eligible to work in the country in which the position is located.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications:

Knowledge of ecommerce & online travel industry.

Experience launching new customer products or customer journeys.

Crewmember Expectations:

Regular attendance and punctuality.

Potential need to work flexible hours and be available to respond on short-notice.

Well-groomed and able to maintain a professional appearance.

When working or traveling on JetBlue flights, and if time permits, all capable crewmembers are asked to assist with light cleaning of the aircraft.
