Job: Intern – Marketing and Communications (Built Environment)
Location: Denver, CO
Jacobs Built Environment team seeks a dynamic, self-starter to assist marketing and communications efforts. This internship is an excellent opportunity to experience various aspects of marketing while working for well-known Fortune 200 professional services organization.
Internship positions at Jacobs provide college students an opportunity to gain real-world experience in their specific area of study. Interns will work alongside world-class professionals in a fast-paced, professional setting which provides interns invaluable experiences applying the knowledge and skills learned through education in a business environment.
Assist in planning, writing and managing internal and external news articles and other stories.
Maintain and expand upon the Built Environment editorial calendar.
Design marketing materials for event sponsorship.
Update and maintain the internal Built Environment homepage.
Leverage community organizations and partnerships to promote leaders speaking at local events through LinkedIn.
Research pertinent industry topics and find news angles to leverage our thought leaders.
Collaborating with staff on new ideas, directions, and venues for marketing and communications.
Track social media analytics for all Built Environment related content and compile relevant press clips.
Assist the Built Environment leadership team with any internal/external content and/or duties assigned.
Candidate must be currently enrolled in at least their junior year within a related field (e.g., English, Journalism, Marketing/Communications, or Public Relations)
At least a 3.0 GPA is required
Previous internship or related experience in marketing or communications is preferred.
Excellent written and verbal communications skills is required.
Knowledge and experience with social media platforms is required.
Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines is required.
Must be computer literate (working knowledge of Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
Proficiency in Adobe InDesign and Photoshop is preferred.
Knowledge of HTML and graphic design is preferred.
Background in and/or knowledge of the buildings industry is preferred.
Must have a reliable mode of transportation and valid driver’s license.
