In this role, the Internal Audit Intern will:
• Perform Walkthroughs of Key Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) controls with the assistance of IA Staff
• Complete sampling, support request, and testing of Key SOX controls to ensure they are operating effectively
• Explore the use of digital tools and software for ways the IA department can streamline procedures
• Assist in performing operational and fraud audit testing procedures
• Complete a signature project at the end of the summer internship
Position Purpose:
An introduction to a professional working environment and responsibilities of the Internal Audit Department at Centene. This role will work closely with Internal Audit staff and management to gain a better understanding of the end-to-end business and controls, complete testing to ensure company controls are operating effectively and collaborate with interns across the company to share experiences and knowledge gained.
Experience/Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent. Must be enrolled in an undergraduate program at an accredited university or college, preferably in a field related to Accounting, Finance, Data Analytics, or other relevant fields of study.
