The Event Marketing department hosts clients and fans at unique experiential events surrounding major sporting events. These events include, espnW Women + Sports Summit, F1, NFL Monday Night Football, and the College Football Playoff National Championship Game. We also coordinate corporate meetings, executive dinners, and conferences. At each event we produce, we look to showcase the different properties within ESPN and Disney by using new technology, creating exciting activations that deliver data, and designing on brand experiences for clients, staff and sponsors. Ultimately, our team is involved with the planning of about 80 cross-departmental events throughout the year.
A Day in the Life:Assist in ordering merchandise and branded gifts
Research event related venues and décor ideas
Industry research, specifically technology trends
Coordinate printed material and branded event collateral for onsite execution
Manage supply box for all events
Organize premiums and branded gifts
Communicate with a variety of different teams internally
Provide support for the espnW Women + Sport Summit
Update the Event Marketing Planning Calendar
In this role, you will be assisting primarily with our Fall events which may include the espnW Women + Sports Summit, F1, College Football and the NFL.
What You Bring to the Role:Proficient in Microsoft Word & Excel
Strong writing and communication skills
Fundamental administrative and office knowledge
Ability to work both independently and within a team setting
Understanding of ESPN Brands
Can keep up in fast paced environments
Strong professional and personal ethics
Ability to communicate comfortably and professionally with talent and executives
Ability to multi-task and handle multiple projects simultaneously
Willingness to complete any task no matter how small or large
The ideal candidate is hard working, positive and resourceful with outstanding organizational skills who works well in a team environment.
Enrolled as a junior, senior or graduate student in an accredited college/university in the semester prior to the internship
Must be enrolled in a college/university taking at least one class in the semester/quarter (spring/fall) prior to participation in the internship program OR currently participating in a Disney Professional Internship
Must be at least 18 years of age
Must not have completed one year of continual employment on a Disney Internship or program.
Must possess unrestricted work authorization
Program Dates: The length of this internship is 10 weeks, and the dates are September 13 – November 19, 2021. Interns will work 40 hours per week and must provide full availability throughout the internship.
Work Environment: This is a remote internship. The internship requires a working, reliable internet connection as well as a quiet, dedicated workspace.
