POSITION PURPOSE
Challenge Mfg. Company’s Internship Program allows students to obtain real world work experience through technical and software exposure. This exposure is granted through individual projects, hands-on tasks on the plant floor, and much more. Challenge Mfg. Company prides itself on giving students a head start on experience in the Automotive Industry to enhance their future.

Fall Internship Term runs September through December.

PROJECTS AND OPPORTUNITIES

Help Desk Support- Help complete tickets through online ticketing system, escalate when needed.
Windows 10 upgrade- deploy and change out equipment for knowledge base users and in production areas.
Build out our asset management system.
Project- build out profiles for all job titles including what security groups they would belong to, what type of equipment and software they need, etc.
Check correct settings for plant specific items (printers, network shares).
Assist with web development for intranet.

WORK ENVIRONMENT/PHYSICAL DEMANDS
Frequent exposure to noise, fumes, dirt, heat, sparks, and smoke
May also be exposed to water, vibration, dust, grease, and oil
Frequently loads, unloads, lifts/moves, pulls/pushes, and/or positions products and materials, weighing up to 40 pounds, occasionally weighing more (assistance given with heaving objects by work partner [s], through work center
Frequently walks, bends, twists, turns, and lifts while performing functions of position
Moderate-sized equipment used around work area
Possible cuts, scrapes, burns or bruises
Eye protection required; hearing protection required; cut resistant arm guards required; cut resistant gloves required
While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works in an office setting.

REQUIREMENTS:
Must be pursuing a four-year Bachelor’s degree related to Information Technology or Computer Science from and accredited college or university
Must have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 to be considered for the Internship program
Must have superior verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task in global manufacturing environment
Authorized to work in the U.S.
