Overview
BrightSpring Health Services is seeking a Procurement Intern. This internship is a year-round position, 20-30 hours per week (flexibility in scheduling). The intern will assist in procurement services which include but are not limited to office supplies, furniture, medical supplies, foodservice distribution, foodservice vendor contracts, bank card purchases, home improvement supplies, printing, shipping, maintenance agreements, energy savings initiatives, and fleet.
Responsibilities
Reconcile financial transactions
Coordinate with Accounting and Finance to ensure accurate general ledger entries
Communicate with field operators on vendor follow-up and contracts
Assist procurement managers in various data analytic functions
Approve ordering of necessary goods and services
Finalize purchase details of orders and deliveries
Perform other job duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications
Currently enrolled at 4-year institution majoring in business or related field
No prior experience required
Moderate level of proficiency in Excel, required
Ability to analyze, synthesize, and report out data, preferred
Highly self-motivated and directed with high attention to detail
Ability to work in a team oriented, collaborative environment
Ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a timely manner
Skilled in reading, writing, and interpreting technical documentation
Strong mathematical and analytical skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Desire to improve purchasing processes and streamline data analysis
