POSITION SUMMARY

BorgWarner is currently looking for a “dynamic, results driven” individual to join as a Manufacturing Engineering Intern at our Aftermarket Remanufacturing Plant in Troy, MI.

This person will primarily be responsible for assisting the engineering team with investigation of products for remanufacture and development of innovative assembly and test equipment. In addition, there may be other projects assigned to continue growth and development in the engineering function.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Provide technical leadership in identifying and implementing new and innovative remanufacturing methods.
Investigate remanufacturing assembly and test equipment.
Provides process engineering and support of existing processes.
Lead assigned projects to timely completion.
Maintain Project Tracking for new projects.
Ability to manage and drive projects to completion.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Mechanically or electronically inclined.
General understanding of Engineering Drawings and ability to interpret them (preferred).
Knowledge in statistics, FMEA, Control Plan APQP, PPAP, SPC, MSA, DOE and product and process capability (preferred).
Basic knowledge of manufacturing process (preferred).
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills that are required to build relationships with team members.
Experience with Data Acquisition Systems and Vision systems.
Experience with LabVIEW, C++, or VB.
