BD MBA Intern, will have access to a broad group of business leaders and
experts who can provide insight, feedback and information for your project as
needed and requested by your management team. You will develop skills in
managing customer relationships by developing rapport with key stakeholders at all
levels of the customer organization.



As a Marketing Intern, your responsibilities may span the
following areas:

Market Assessment and Strategy Development – Define
target markets with high growth opportunities and develop strategies to achieve
business objectives. Seek, sense, and analyze market factors including market
trends, emerging technologies, business, economy, policy, medicine, disease
therapy, demographics that are critical to growth. Develop and implement a
process for managing and identifying new business opportunities and drive new
business growth through effective management and development of these

Market Segmentation and Customer Insights – Identify
unmet customer needs, technological innovations, and industrial challenges in a
specific product space. Conduct market opportunity assessment to define and
evaluate potential business impact of addressing unmet needs.  Determine
pipeline of opportunities and key measures of success.  Collect key
customer insights to understand unmet and under-served customer needs of high
value and develop recommendations to address product and service gaps as well
as deliver improved customer experience.

Strategic Innovation and Product Development – Collect
and synthesize relevant market information and provide strategic direction,
analytical support and information with regard to customer unmet needs and
market trends to guide development activities. Identify and validate world-wide
growth opportunities and drive strategy development for selected white space
opportunities for BD. This includes providing market assessments, preparing
financial projections and providing direction for product development programs;
and support business development activities (acquisition analysis, partnership
analysis, etc.).

Marketing Communications Leadership – Lead the
development of brand and product messaging strategies and establish sustainable
and differentiated product positioning to elevate awareness and brand
preference. Define the most effective marketing communications mix including
advertising, sales promotion, public relations, and direct marketing to reach
the target audience. Define and execute lead generation programs to drive
revenue growth.

  • Demonstrated
    skills and capabilities in analytical and critical thinking, complex
    problem solving, and team leadership
  • Strong
    business acumen and interpersonal and influence skills
  • Experience
    or knowledge in the healthcare field is preferred
  • Ability
    to work the full duration of the 10-12 week internship
  • Some
    positions may also require a technical degree and/or
    experience in medical device, pharmaceuticals, or health care.
