Thursday November 30, 2023The Research and Development internship is looking for an individual with a strong foundation of technical skills, business acumen, and an interest in applying technical knowledge to research and development related project tasks.  The internship role will support the R&D portfolio and a broad range of ongoing technical research projects.

Summer Internship: May – August 2024
Qualifications:

Must be in active student status working towards a degree in Engineering, Computer science, or MBA with an electrical engineering or computer science undergraduate degree from an accredited university; Junior, Senior or post graduate level of study with an interest in machine learning, low carbon energy related research, renewable energy research, and cybersecurity or related environmental field preferred
Cumulative GPA of 2.5 is required, 3.0 or higher is preferred
Key Responsibilities:

Support the management and execution of research and development projects including Electric Power Research Institute and University funded research projects over a broad range of electric utility related topics
Investigate applications for machine learning techniques within the electric utility industry.
Develop interpersonal networks within the organization
Conduct research that can be utilized in key business projects
Interest in gaining a deep knowledge of the electric utility industry
In addition to the above qualifications, the candidate will: 

Candidates should have a broad interest in electricity energy related science
 Location: 
This position is based out of the Ameren Headquarters in downtown St. Louis, Missouri.  The work arrangement is hybrid.
