Do Something Summer Campaigns Internship

Do Something has come up again with a new and exciting summer campaign internship program. This is a paid intern course that will be available for three months in New York, NY. All college students are invited to participate in this program.

If you are hired for this role, you will be placed in the campaigns team of Do Something. You will help this team in executing active campaigns as well as researching ideas for new campaigns.

This internship is a great way for you to understand the campaign’s creation process at a well-known company. Apart from this, it will also prepare you to work in the corporate world by providing you experience, skills and some good contacts.

Do Something is a non-profit organization focused on social change. It is based in New York, New York. It has been committed to encouraging youth to make a positive change in our community both online and office through campaigns. It was started in 1993 by the joint effort of Andrew Shue and Michael Sanchez.

Internship Location:

All interns are required to be able to work in New York, NY.

Internship Duration:

This internship will take around 3 months, from June 2 through August 7.

Eligibility Requirements:

These are the requirements of this program:

  • Must have experience managing complicated projects
  • Must have excellent communication skills: solid grammar, ability to write clearly, good telephone manner
  • Must have strong research skills
  • Must have interest or experience in project management
  • Must have passion for the causes the organization focus on
  • Must be a person who fights for their ideas and constantly try to make himself/herself better
  • An intersectional activist. You understand how your pet cause relates to other issue areas. You want different lived experiences and perspectives represented in the movements you belong to
  • A creative brainstormer.
