Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin Pharmacy Internship Program

Children‡s Hospital of Wisconsin is now inviting self-motivated and enthusiastic individuals to send applications for its pharmacy internship which is a full-time program scheduled to run four months.

The duties of the pharmacy intern will consist of completing admission medication reconciliation, staffing the IV room pharmacist shift, reviewing provider orders for accuracy and compatibility, maintaining necessary records and performing other tasks as given.

Apart from the responsibilities, interns can apply their clinical knowledge that they have gained in the classroom in an academic hospital inpatient setting, get a deep insight into the hospital pharmacy practices and pick up some new skills.

Children‡s Hospital of Wisconsin is a hospital fully dedicated to the health and well-being of children. It was founded on March 16, 1894, and is owned by Children’s Hospital and Health System. This hospital provides kids and their families care and support across Wisconsin. Its mission is that the children of the state will be the healthiest in the nation.

Internship Location:

Milwaukee, WI is the main location for this intern.

Internship Duration:

In this position, the intern will work full-time for 4 months, from May through August.

Eligibility Requirements:

The successful candidates must have completed their second year of pharmacy school education by June 1st of the year in which the internship is to begin and are enrolled at a professional doctor of pharmacy degree-granting institution located in the United States.
