Position Summary
ITW Welding‡s IT internship program is aimed at providing meaningful work and experience to our interns with strong managers serving as their mentors. We expect this summer internship program to give you marketable experiences and skills, as well as introduce you to ITW‡s unique way of doing business.
Operational Essential Duties
Facilitate hardware deployments and account setups for 2024 interns at ITW Welding
Provide support for ITW Welding phone system project
Assist with incoming requests to the Service Desk and ensure courteous, timely and effective resolution of customer requests.
Provide coverage in IT Service Desk call queue
Creating and maintaining user accounts in Active Directory
Provide level 1 support for software and hardware used and supported by the organization.
Troubleshoot reported issues with hardware and/or software, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, and configuring systems and applications.
Involvement in data cleansing, organization, and standardization
Qualifications:
Formal Education & Certification
Student pursuing a degree in Computer Science or Information Technology related field. Junior status preferred.
Personal Attributes
Exceptional customer service orientation.
Ability to conduct research into a wide range of computing issues as required.
Ability to absorb and retain information quickly.
Ability to present ideas in user-friendly language.
Highly self-motivated and directed.
Keen attention to detail.
