Job Description

As a Semiconductor Packaging Materials Development Graduate Intern you be will work in Assembly and Test Technology Development (ATTD) Materials group and labs focusing on development of materials for electronic packages.

Specific responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

  • Researching, innovating, and characterizing new material technologies, materials synthesis, sample preparations, data analysis, and completing innovative materials technology proof of concept recommendations.
  • Understanding of the fundamentals of materials/polymers, processing, and structure-property relationships.

Technical skills must include:

  • Data analysis, and statistical design.
  • Understanding of structure-property-performance relationships of materials and demonstrate developing of solutions based on that understanding.
  • Problem solving communication skills.
  • Team player skills demonstrated, through team projects or other research activities.
  • Work and lead in a team environment.

Responsibilities may be quite diverse of a nonexempt technical nature. U.S. experience and education requirements will vary significantly depending on the unique needs of the job. Job assignments are usually for the summer or for short periods during breaks from school. This is an internship and compensation will be given accordingly based on candidate education level and internship duration.

  • Knowledge and/or experience listed below would be obtained through a combination of your schoolwork and/or classes and/or research and/or relevant previous job and/or internship

Minimum Qualifications:

Pursuing a Master’s degree or PhD degree in Chemical Engineering or Polymer Engineering/Science or Materials Science or Materials Physics, or Chemistry or Metallurgy and 6+ months of knowledge and/or experience in a relevant area.
