Location: This role is required to be in Johnston, IA.

Corteva Agriscience is seeking graduate or undergraduate candidates looking to gain broad communications and public affairs experience in the agricultural industry.

The intern role will be in Communications, which is part of the Corteva Agriscience global Public Affairs team.

As an intern, you‡ll get exposure to real projects and challenges in a vibrant environment and gain real-world experience. You will be responsible for projects as assigned, and will enhance your strategic thinking, communications project management, communications plan development, oral communication and writing skills while developing an understanding of the role of corporate communications in a rapidly evolving industry.

It is also expected that you will gain a better understanding of agriculture, biotechnology and plant breeding, and will develop knowledge of Corteva‡s stakeholder engagement strategies and the general issues landscape within global agriculture.

Key Responsibilities

· Be an active team and collaborative member within the Global Public Affairs group.

· Provide general support to the communications organization, with a focus on the Seed Business and other areas in the Johnston Global Business Center.

· Writing is a critical part of the role and will be part of a range of projects.

· Projects may include communications plan development, meeting attendance, understanding issues and stakeholder needs, article and news release development, topic research, fact sheet development, helping with media relations and issues management, employee communications, digital/social media posts and responding to inquiries, presentation creation and assistance with special events.

Qualifications
· GPA of at least 3.0.

· Current junior student enrolled in a college or University, majoring in Communications, Public Relations or a related field. Candidates must be enrolled in classes the fall following their time with Corteva.

· Must be an excellent writer and have outstanding ability to communicate effectively. Writing samples will be required as part of the application process.

· Think strategically, be a self-starter and team player.

· Hands-on experience with Microsoft Office applications.

· Research and collaboration skills.

· Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
