The Clinical Strategy & Partnerships Consulting Interns is responsible for collaborating cross-functionally to identify, develop and propose planning and strategy to improve results based on continuous needs assessment.
How you will make an impact:
- Partner with executive leadership to define our clinical domain strategy and success criteria for the future
- Translate strategy into defined tactics, programs/projects, priorities and timelines and ensure alignment and attainment of both the regions and the enterprises strategic plans to turn strategy into reality
- Create and present extremely high quality presentations to executive levels
- Oversee definition development and implementation of metrics to report and monitor progress against goals and ensure plan of record supports strategy milestone deliverables
- Monitor, measure, and communicate delivery against business strategic plan and the quality of outcomes
- Research relevant trends and activities in their area of expertise and work with business leadership to further define business strategy and sustain a competitive advantage in the marketplace
- Develop, monitor, and track metrics to track budget and spending
- Collaborate with senior team and staff to develop tactical plans and communication strategies
- Often act as decision maker on projects or provide guidance to senior team on complex issues
- Serve as a representative on enterprise and inter-regional initiatives
- Provide coaching and mentoring to other leaders in the organization on strategic thinking and on projects that deliver high return and high strategic value
- Champion breakthrough projects to transform our current business environment into industry leading best practice organization
- Manage vendor interaction and management, including vendor selection, contract and rate negotiation, issue resolution, developing and reviewing statements of work, representation on vendor business and Executive committees, speaking engagements, etc.
- Often serve as the subject matter expert in projects and initiatives
- Often take responsibility for approval of all projects sponsored by their Executive Sponsor
Minimum Qualifications:
- Requires a BS/BA degree in a related field and 3-5 years in related work experience or any combination of education and experience, which would provide an equivalent background
- Actively pursuing a master‡s degree at an accredited college or university in business, public health, health administration, or a related field
- Students must be authorized to work in the U.S. without future visa sponsorship requirements
Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experience:
- Prior strategic planning, management consulting, project/program management, and vendor management experience strongly preferred.
- Prior managed care organization or health plan experience or interest preferred.

Elevance Health operates in a Hybrid Workforce Strategy, providing various levels of flexibility while also ensuring that associates have opportunities to connect in-person. Unless in a designated virtual-eligible role and specified as primarily virtual by the hiring manager, associates are required to work at an Elevance Health location at least once per week, and potentially several times per week.
