Team:

The GovCloud Service engineering team is responsible for the continuous delivery of all our services in the GovCloud Production Engineering environment. The team is also responsible for onboarding new products and services into GovCloud and plays an important role in onboarding new customers. We collaborate with internal teams for efficient iteration of automated CI/CD pipelines with the goal of maintaining service owner feature velocity, troubleshooting and reproducing issues reported in Production environments. You will get a chance to understand how things work with large-scale production infrastructure within 3rd party cloud service providers.You will be provided with opportunities to transform human heavy processes into automated governance solutions. In addition, you will be interacting with a highly innovative and creative team of developers, open-source committers and architects, researching and finding the right tools for the job, and if they don’t exist creating them.

Internship:

As an intern, there will be opportunities to participate in service deployments: interacting with development teams, witnessing change controls at scale, and operating in the devops chain of change delivery. Additionally, there will be opportunities to rapidly develop (largely interpreted) code for automation and reporting purposes and to work alongside seasoned developers on existing and new code projects.

You can expect to:

  • Solve Infrastructure related problems with code (with a focus on reusability) and you’ve mastered building compute capacity, worked on Kubernetes deployments at scale. You will be responsible for leading key projects in design, development, and post-release support of the Salesforce platform and tools that are used by a variety of internal teams to support our government customers.
  • Collaborate with internal teams for efficient iterations of automated CI/CD pipelines with the goal of maintaining service owner feature velocity, solving and reproducing issues reported in Production environments.
  • Demonstrate a sense of autonomy and vitality for ownership of your areas and proactively take accountability for progress forward.
  • Understand how things work with a large-scale production infrastructure within 3rd party cloud service providers.
  • Transform human heavy processes into automated governance solutions.
  • Create and maintain detailed documentation.
  • Improve your influence and collaboration skills working with various other Infrastructure teams across Salesforce.
  • Interact with a highly innovative and creative team of developers, open-source committers and architects.
  • Research and find the right tools for the job, and if they don’t exist creating them.

Required Qualifications:

  • This candidate must be a U.S. citizen (U.S. born or naturalized) who does not hold dual citizenship.
  • You agree to complete a Minimum Background Investigation (MBI) for a Moderate Public Trust position with the U.S. federal government and gain other clearances as deemed appropriate for the role.
  • Enrolled and working towards obtaining a BS/MS in Computer Science or related field. Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree
