The Customer Centric Reliability Eng (CCRE) team is accountable for ensuring all products deliver mission critical availability, allowing our customers to exceed the expectations of their customers. We build solutions and processes to provide service owners the platforms, services and insights to easily manage their services with high availability and low toil. Our services provide product agonistic capabilities to quickly detect, diagnose, and mitigate availability issues when they occur. We resolve incidents quickly before customers experience impact. We value a culture of learning by reviewing every incident and investigation and driving improvements. We work in close partnerships with Service Owners to build better systems and ensure we can measure the impact of our efforts in protecting the customer experience.
Role Description:
The Customer-Centric Reliability Eng (CCRE) team is looking for a Summer 2024 Intern – Data Business Analyst with experience in cloud-based computing systems who can help execute and deliver our daily operational run of the business work items.
The role’s primary function includes collecting and analyzing data, identifying trends, and creating data visualizations that are easy to understand and drive the product strategy. Your skills and expertise will assist in solving availability reporting that help shape Salesforce products by delivering insights, conducting adoption tests, and productizing these insights.
Position Responsibilities:
- Help with data collection, data analysis, and improving data quality.
- Create data visualizations using statistical techniques.
- Work with management teams to help prioritize business needs and provide advice on strategic objectives, product direction, roadmaps, growth goals, retention strategies, etc.
- Produce insights (e.g. performance drivers, retention analysis, behavioral personas) to help grow
- Salesforce Cloud businesses. This requires acquiring, cleaning, structuring data from multiple sources (e.g. Hadoop, Splunk), and analyzing the data using SQL / Python / R.
- Own product delivery by working with engineers and data scientists to turn insights into self-service dashboards or data products
- Evangelize the insights through storytelling
- Create easy-to-consume media that inspires into action anyone from senior execs to fellow analysts.
- Contribute to expanding the Salesforce data culture by growing new relationships, hosting learning sessions, integrating or designing new tools, improving team processes, and other lateral activities
Requirements:
- Enrolled and working towards BS or MS in Computer Science, Data Science, Machine Learning or related fields. Please note that in order to be eligible for an internship, we require that you be returning to school the following quarter/semester to work towards completing your degree.
- Must be attending a College/University in the U.S.
- Experience with Tableau and Excel
- An affinity for statistical data models and methods.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect and analyze large amounts of data with detailed accuracy
- Technical knowledge of data models, cloud computing, data structures, and data mining techniques
- Technical knowledge of data models, cloud computing, data structures, and data mining techniques
- A self-motivated individual capable of working in a fast-paced, startup environment, both remotely and in-person
- Laser-focused on impact, balancing effort to value, and driving adoption
- Charismatic storyteller ready to lead growth conversations with senior leadership
- An expert in building relationships and collaborating in matrixed environments
Desired Skills and Experience:
- Experience and a good understanding of Salesforce and the primary products (Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, and Commerce Cloud)
- Experience with Database & SQL
- Tableau Experience (Certification Data Analytics a plus)
- Experience with Splunk, Python/R, and other Business Intelligence tools
