Arthrex, Inc. is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics. As part of the global finance team, the Finance Operations Team is responsible for the financial reporting, cost accounting, capital investment planning and fixed asset accounting for our manufacturing and logistics operations. This role includes responsibility for global SAP cost accounting processes and support SAP roll outs in our subsidiaries. We are offering a summer intern tailored project work to get practical insight of our work at Arthrex by supporting our team with one of the following topics: Further develop our reporting tools; Further develop our analytical strength; Work on documentation and/or our intranet presence. The successful candidate will be able to work on one or more assigned project(s), document the outcomes and communicate those to management at the end of the internship. The individual will work with different areas of our team throughout the project(s).
This internship will run from May 2024 – August 2024. The ideal candidate will have the availability to work up to 30 hours per week at our Naples, FL facility.
Main Objective:
Learn how Finance Operations and Capital Investment processes operate at Arthrex, by working on an assigned project(s) to support our financial reporting or strengthen our analytics or improve our documentation.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Work with and enhance our reporting tools Power BI/SAP, or
Set up and develop documentation for SharePoint Web Page, or
Automate work processes (Excel tools for Capital Investments, P&L reporting or Fixed Assets, Product costing), or
Participate in PRFA process documentation and reporting.
This is an in-office position located in Naples, FL; it is not a remote position.
Education and Experience:
Progress towards a college degree in a related field required, preferably in Financial Analytics, Cost Accounting, Accounting, or Business. (Students who have recently graduated are only eligible to work as an intern/co-op up to six months from their graduation date.)
Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:
Basic to intermediate computer skills.
Be able to follow written and verbal direction.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required.
Machine, Tools, and/or Equipment Skills:
PC; Familiarity with Microsoft Outlook; PowerPoint; Word and Excel. Fax; Scanner.
