What you can expect in this role
As a Spectrum Intern, you‡ll be essential to two teams — your respective department and your Intern peer group. Department and team-focused projects account for about 80% of your schedule. You‡ll spend the other 20% on professional development sessions and networking activities, including the Kickoff Conference on May 29th, webinars, community service, cross-functional project, and final presentations.
Internship responsibilities may include
As an intern on the Programming FP&A team you will join the group responsible for “telling the story” of video programming expense. Through forecasts of future costs and detailed variance analyses of actual results vs projections, we enable senior leadership to make strategic decisions in the ever-changing landscape of cable video.
Internship responsibilities may include
- Work with Programming FP&A and Assurance Business Planning teams
- Assist with Budget and Forecast preparation including preparing PowerPoint slides and Excel analyses
- Help with video programming rate verification and analysis, reviewing subscriber and expense trends, monthly variance analysis and programming assurance functions
- Review costs and performs cost benefit analysis related to projects and/or programs
- Develop financial reports for forecasting, trending, and results analysis

Required Qualifications
- Must be currently enrolled in an accredited College or University completing a Bachelor‡s Degree or
- Advanced Degree
- Must have at least a 3.0 GPA or greater in current program
- Ability to travel locally to Spectrum Intern development events and activities throughout the program
- Authorization to work in the U.S. without restrictions or need for future sponsorship
