PacSci, headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, is a leading explosives manufacturer. We are seeking a dynamic Manufacturing Engineering Intern to join our team. In collaboration with PacSci leadership and our site engineering teams, this role will play a pivotal part in supporting critical Manufacturing programs and processes to drive business excellence.
Key Responsibilities
– Assist Equipment and Manufacturing Engineers in completing equipment development and deployment milestones.
– Contribute to the development and completion.
– Engage in Process mapping and Process Qualification activities.
– Contribute to the design of tooling for test fixtures.
– Conduct and document Process Experiments.
– Actively participate in Group Design Reviews.
– Work within our Configuration Management System to manage program documentation.
– Perform data reporting and analysis, encompassing qualitative and quantitative aspects, across various projects.
Qualifications:
– Enrolled in a Bachelor’s degree program in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or a related field.
– Strong written and verbal communication skills.
– Proficiency in MS Excel, Solidworks, Data Analysis tools and other relevant business/engineering software.
– Experience in software development or familiarity with microcontroller platforms a plus.
– Excellent organizational skills.

Confident and effective communication with individuals at all levels of the organization.
Strong prioritization skills to manage multiple tasks and support overarching program objectives.
Willingness to engage in hands-on engineering and development activities.

Enthusiastic team player with a strong commitment to innovation and collaboration.
Preferred candidates are upper classmen or individuals with experience (or hobbies) in microcontrollers (arduino, etc), programming / coding, electronic kit building.
Hands on individual is a must for this position
